# How the FairConsent App works for Fairpicture projects

The FairConsent app seamlessly integrates with the Fairpicture platform, simplifying how you capture, manage, and secure participant consent forms on-location.

Getting Started with the FairConsent App.

Why Use FairConsent?

- Cost-Free: The app is entirely free to use for all authorized Fairpicture projects.
- **Offline Functionality:** Built for the field, the app works entirely offline. **Follow these step-by-step instructions to link your project and manage your consents efficiently:**

**1. Open the App:**

- Launch the **Fairconsent** app to access the home screen.

**2. Access the Menu:**

- Tap the **hamburger icon** (three horizontal lines) located in the top-right corner of the screen to open the main menu.

**3.Select and Scan :**

- Choose **"Fairpicture Projects"** from the menu options, then proceed to scan your project's QR code directly from the Fairpicture platform. .

**4. Scan the QR Code on the Fairpicture Platform**

- Open the project view page on the Fairpicture platform.
- On the right side of the page, scroll down to the **Visual Creator Profile** section. Directly beneath it, you will find the project's unique QR code.
- A dynamic tooltip is positioned right above the QR code, indicating its current sync status. Before you begin, this tooltip will explicitly show that the code has not yet been scanned.

- Use the app to scan the QR code.
- This will automatically sync the project information with the app.
- Once you scan the QR code using your device, the tooltip status will instantly update to confirm that the connection was successful.

**3. Collect Consent Forms**
