Yes, the FairConsent app works offline, allowing you to collect and manage consents even without an internet connection.
How Offline Functionality Works
Collecting Consents
- All features, such as recording consents, adding witnesses, and customizing consent terms, are available offline.
Saving Data Locally
- All data is securely stored on the app until an internet connection is available.
Exporting or Uploading Data
- Once connected to the internet, you can export the consent forms or upload them to Fairpicture platform.

Special Note for Fairpicture Projects
- Scanning the project QR code at the beginning requires an internet connection.
- For uploading collected consents to the Fairpicture platform you also need an internet connection.

Important Notes
- Ensure your device has enough storage space to save data offline.
- Consents will remain on your device until they are uploaded or exported or until the project is completed.
- If you are working in an area with a poor or unstable network connection, we recommend temporarily disabling mobile data and Wi-Fi and collecting consent fully offline. This can provide a more stable experience and avoid slow app loading.
