# What is the brief?

**1- What is the project brief used for?**
- The project brief helps us understand your story, goals, and practical requirements in detail before production starts. It gives the Visual Creator the context in detail they need to prepare properly, align with your expectations, and produce visual material that fits your project goals.
- It also helps us review the assignment in advance, clarify any points if needed, and ensure production runs as smoothly as possible for everyone involved.
**2- Where can I find the brief?**
- Once the offer is accepted, your project moves to the **Briefing** phase.
- On the project page, you will see the **Edit project brief** button in the action box. Click it to open the briefing form and start filling it in.
**3- Filling the brief: **
- The brief is divided into several sections/pages.
- You can move through them step by step, save your progress as you go, and return later if needed.
The brief includes the following sections:
- **Invite collaborators** – if needed, you can invite colleagues or external collaborators to help you complete the brief.
- **Contacts** – add the creative and organisational contact persons for the assignment
- **Organisational details** – provide the practical information needed to organise the assignment on-site, such as local coordination and production-related details.
- **Description** – explain the objective of the assignment, the project context, and how the photos/videos will be used
- **Photography/videography requirements** – describe the type of visual material needed and any specific requests or services
- **Deliverables** – add technical requirements such as resolution, orientation, and expected number of photos
- **Additional services** – add any extra services required for the assignment, such as interviews, life stories, reports, quotes, video services, translation, or transcription.
- **Safety and security** – provide any important security, access, or legal information related to the assignment
- **References** – upload reference examples, mockups, or any supporting material that may help communicate your expectations more clearly.
- Once all sections are completed, you can submit the brief using the **Submit project brief** button at the end.
Try to keep the brief clear, practical, and concise so the visual creator has all the key information needed for the project.
**4- What happens after you submit the brief?**
Once you submit your brief:
- **We review it to** ensure the information is complete and ready for production.
- If anything is unclear or missing, **we may request changes or ask follow-up questions**.
- Once the brief is clear from our side, we accept it, and then **we share it with the Visual Creator**.
- The Visual Creator validates the brief, and if any questions are not clear, the Visual Creator will ask some questions for clarification. If everything is clear, then we can move to the next step, which is the production phase.
